Coaching Session
Coaching Sessions are generally run on a question and answer basis, and last between 60-90 minutes. During a consultation the homeowner is responsible for taking all notes. A coaching session may include:
Basic design ideas Pruning and maintenance tips for perennials and shrubs Lawn problems Plant identification Insect and disease management Winterization Spring and Fall clean-up suggestions
This is a great opportunity to get all those landscaping questions answered by a knowledgeable professional. $75/hour
Landscape Consultation
A landscape consultation is a thorough hands-on meeting with a landscaping professional at your home. It is more systematic and formal than a coaching visit. During our meeting we discuss your needs, landscape goals including any tree, shrub and perennial preferences, as well as favorite color combinations, style preferences and hopes, and the budget if known. Information is gathered about landscape conditions, soils, microclimates, topography, etc. In addition to appreciating the positives elements of the site, various challenges are noted, with possible options and alternative solutions discussed. Finally, if the client decides to proceed with a landscape design and project bid, the landscape designer will measure and photograph the client's property and begin the landscape design and cost estimate. A consultation does not include a measured and scaled design. $75/hour
Garden and/or Landscape Design
During the landscape consultation the client should be prepared to provide a general idea of what they want to accomplish with landscaping and a list of any specific trees, shrub or perennials that they would like to be included in the landscape design. Additionally, a copy of the client's lot plan or property survey will be helpful and will reduce the cost of the landscape design. If the homeowner requests a landscape design and installation estimate, The Divine Gardener will prepare a design and estimate using the information gathered during the on-site consultation. Once the design and estimate are completed, The Divine Gardener will present the design to the homeowner along with an estimate to complete the landscape project.
Garden and Landscape Design Fees
For a residential project, landscape design fees will generally range from $300 to $1000 depending on the size and complexity of the proposed landscape area.. Generally speaking, it costs the same to build a poorly designed landscape as it does to build a well-designed one, so why not start with a great design? The Divine Gardener makes a substantial time investment in each landscape design to ensure the client's needs and desires are met by the new landscape and that the new landscape will provide our clients enjoyment and beauty for many years to come.
