Garden and/or Landscape Design and Installation

Often gardens are smaller pieces of a larger landscape. Other times they are the entire landscape. In either case a well designed garden or landscape starts with a meeting between the homeowner and the designer. We determine what the goals are for the project, discuss wishes and desires, evaluate the existing landscape and environment, and discuss the addition of architectural details such as walls, fences, steps or patios. The combination of each of these factors, along with the plant and creative expertise of the designer, results in the creation of a uniquely beautiful, finished landscape.

Once a concept has been determined, measurements are taken of the space, which include dimensions of the house, placement of windows, doorways, existing patios and walkways. An inventory is taken of existing plant material that will be saved and/or reused. Photos are taken and determinations made of sun, shade and soil conditions in relation to the area to be landscaped.

A 'to scale' drawing and design is then created. This plan includes full color photos of all plants suggested, as well as complete plant descriptions to better help the homeowner visualize the finished landscape. A presentation is then made to the client. There is ample opportunity for the plan to be discussed in detail and questions to be asked and answered. An estimate for plants, drip irrigation, other materials required, along with installation of the design by The Divine Gardener is provided at this time.

Once the homeowner has signed off on the design to be implemented, TDG works with each client to determine the best method of implementation. Sometimes designs are incorporated in stages, which can ease budget concerns.

After the plantings and installation have been completed, maintenance training is provided. In addition, TDG can provide ongoing maintenance services on an as needed basis.

Maintenance Services

After the plantings and installations have been completed we can provide training for the homeowner to do the ongoing maintenance themselves or TDG can provide ongoing maintenance services as needed.

Drip Irrigation

we are able to provide drip irrigation installation for new installations. Not only is drip irrigation cost effective, it is the most efficient and environmentally friendly way of watering your landscaping.
